Refund policy
Returns & Refunds Policy
At Apron Atelier UK, we want you to be happy with your order. Please read our returns and refunds policy carefully before placing your order.
1. Non-Personalised Orders
If you are a consumer purchasing online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, provided the item is not personalised, custom-made or made to your specifications.
To exercise your right to cancel, please contact us at info@apronatelier.co.uk within 14 days of receiving your order.
Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel, you must return the goods to us within a further 14 days.
Please contact us before sending any item back so that we can provide you with the correct return instructions and return address.
2. Condition of Returned Items
Returned items should be unused, unworn, unwashed and, where possible, returned with their original packaging and tags.
You may inspect the product in the same way that you would reasonably be able to inspect it in a shop. If the value of the product has been reduced because it has been handled beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and function, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund where permitted by law.
3. Personalised, Custom-Made and Bespoke Items
We are unable to accept returns or cancellations for change of mind on goods that have been made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Embroidered products
- Digitally printed products
- Laser-engraved products
- Products personalised with names, initials, logos or artwork
- Products made in custom dimensions or lengths
- Bespoke or specially modified apron designs
- Products produced specifically to an approved customer design or specification
Once a personalised or bespoke order has entered production, it cannot normally be changed or cancelled.
This does not affect your legal rights if the product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.
4. Return Shipping Costs
For eligible non-personalised returns made because you have changed your mind, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to us.
We recommend using a tracked postal or courier service and keeping proof of postage until your refund has been completed.
If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please contact us before returning it. Where we are legally responsible for the return, we will arrange or reimburse reasonable return postage costs as appropriate.
5. Refunds
For eligible consumer cancellations, once the returned goods have been received, or you provide evidence that they have been sent back where applicable, we will process the refund in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase.
Where required by law, we will also refund the standard outbound delivery charge. If you selected a more expensive delivery method, any additional premium delivery cost is not refundable beyond the cost of our standard delivery option.
Refunds will be processed without undue delay and, where applicable, no later than 14 days after receiving the returned goods or evidence that the goods have been returned.
6. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order after delivery and contact us as soon as possible if the item is defective, damaged, incorrect or not as described.
Please email info@apronatelier.co.uk with your order number, a description of the issue and, where relevant, photographs showing the problem.
We will review the matter and arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.
7. Business / B2B Orders
The consumer cancellation rights described above apply to consumers purchasing wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
Orders placed wholly or mainly for business or commercial purposes, including orders placed by companies, restaurants, cafés, hotels and other organisations, are treated as business-to-business (B2B) orders.
B2B orders do not benefit from the consumer change-of-mind cancellation provisions set out above.
Returns of non-faulty business orders are accepted only where agreed by Apron Atelier UK in writing in advance. Please contact us before returning any business order.
Personalised, bespoke or made-to-specification business orders are non-returnable for change of mind unless otherwise agreed by us in writing.
8. Exchanges
If you would like to exchange an eligible non-personalised item, please contact us first. Depending on the circumstances, the simplest process may be to return the original item and place a new order.
Personalised and bespoke items cannot be exchanged for change of mind.
9. How to Request a Return
